                    The Rt Hon Andrea Leadsom MP, Member of Parliament for South Northamptonshire, is looking for an experienced office manager to support her busy team.
Main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Manage the office team, ensuring accurate personnel records are kept and notifying IPSA of contractual changes as necessary
- Manage biannual appraisal process on behalf of the Member
- Support the Member in handling performance and appraisal issues
- Overall management of the Member's diary commitments, delegating tasks to others as appropriate
- Keep clear records of all papers relevant to the Member’s role, ensuring all reporting is up to date, including the Register of Members’ Financial Interests
- Coordination with BEIS on diary and Ministerial office in Parliament
- Inbox management, invitations, assigning casework, Departmental correspondence
- Post sorting & forwarding to constituency office
- Ensure a range of efficient secretarial and administrative support, including ad hoc correspondence as required
- Responsibility for managing all aspects of the budget, keeping the Member informed of all relevant financial matters and the annual salary review process
- Liaise with groups/personnel at Westminster, within the constituency and the general public on the Member's behalf as necessary
- Organise constituent tours, PMQ tickets, and educational visits
- Provide generalist admin support as required
Capabilities required:
- Highly organised and conscientious, able to prioritise and manage a heavy workload
- Strong knowledge of British politics and current affairs
- Personable and able to work as part of a small team, and to self motivate
- The ability to maintain complete discretion and confidentiality
