As this is a voluntary role there are no fixed hours or responsibilities. Nonetheless, volunteers play a vital role in the organisation and there will be plenty of opportunities for career and personal development. This is also an excellent opportunity for someone interested in gaining experience in the NGO/Charity sector.

Between 2020 and 2035 our aim is to support our local partner Living Bankside with its ambition to improve the health and wellbeing of people in our neighbourhood, by working collaboratively to create a shared vision for the local area.

The opportunity will include:

Justice For A Better World a supporter of Living Bankside, welcomes volunteers with an interest in evidence-based analysis to inform public policy in the following areas: housing, planning, justice, community cohesion and local governance.

The role will be based in SE1 and will provide you with exposure and experience of advocating through policy using asset-based approaches to neighbourhood conversations with a view to effecting long-term collaborative change.

The opportunity will include engaging with central and local government decision makers and corporate/third sector stakeholders. The oppotunity will focus on issues in the London Borough's of Southwark and Lambeth.

The right candidate will have an insight into:

• Assisting and attending events
• Managing social media

Essential:
• An interest in equity and empowerment
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Creative and able to take the initiative
• Prepared to challenge convention
