As a communications consultancy based in central London, we’re looking for a candidate with outstanding written skills, intellectual curiosity, as well as an avid interest in current affairs. Other key strengths we’re looking for include strong organisation skills, and an ability to meet strict deadlines in what can be a busy and dynamic consultancy environment.

As a Junior Consultant working for Sermelo, you will be responsible for media monitoring on a daily basis, blog development for our website, social media activity, engaging with journalists on behalf of our clients, as well as press release development and various content development projects for our portfolio of clients. If successful, you will be introduced to clients and projects relatively quickly, with a view to being fast tracked to a full-time consultant after three months.

Although the placement is listed as for only three months, we are looking for someone with a long term perspective that is looking to grow and develop with us as we continue to expand as a company. To that end, the successful applicant may be rewarded with a permanent contract on completing the three month placement.

Specific experience in PR or communications isn’t essential, but a degree that requires strong analytical and written skills is desirable.
