We have an opportunity for an engaged and driven individual who is passionate about politics and securing change to join our Public Affairs team.

What will you do?

  • As part of an energetic and committed team, you'll have the opportunity to deliver effective public affairs engagement with a wide range of political audiences.
  • You will strengthen Which?'s relationships with key stakeholders and identify new opportunities to expand our engagement.
  • You will also proactively provide political intelligence for the organisation, feeding back key insights to help shape our overall communications strategy.
  • You will need to identify and develop new relationships with key influencers and political stakeholders, and utilise this to increase Which?'s profile, gather intelligence, build influence, secure change and help shape the political agenda.
  • You will also have the opportunity to project manage the delivery of key parts of our engagement program including political monitoring, relationship management development and engagement reporting.
  • Undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within your capabilities, as business requires.

Furthermore, you'll work with other teams across Which?, including our Research and Investigations, Publishing, Policy, Press and Communication teams to help realise your ideas.

What we need from you:

  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Strong understanding of the political and parliamentary process, as well as regulatory and government processes.
  • Good relationship management and contact building skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to short deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A degree or relevant work experience.

Ideally you will also have:

Direct experience of working in one of the parliaments or governments, or direct experience of working in public affairs.
