Switchback Mentor

Are you passionate about working directly with people from marginalised communities on a 1-to-1 basis? Would you relish the chance to build relationships with young prison-leavers as part of an award-winning small charity in East London?

Switchback Mentors go into prisons to directly engage young men and continue that intensive support after release in the community. This is a unique opportunity to build positive, motivational relationships with a small caseload of young prison-leavers through-the-gate, enabling each Trainee to build a stable, rewarding life. You will receive sector-leading training, professional development and supervision from a cutting-edge resettlement charity recognised by the Longford Prize as a 'beacon of hope at a time of chaos'.

If you are someone with experience of working directly with people with complex needs and looking for a unique opportunity to work in a truly person-centred way (no tick-boxes here!), we want to hear from you.

We’re looking for a creative self-starter with brilliant writing skills keen to get stuck into all aspect of comms at a dynamic charity delivering big impact in London. This is not your average comms role stuck in a head office – you will be closely connected to Switchback’s transformative frontline work with some of London’s most marginalised young people.
