The International Prader-Willi Syndrome Organisation (IPWSO, www.ipwso.org) is looking for a talented and motivated Website and Conference Manager to help us make the most of our online presence and to organise our international conference.

Who we are

IPWSO was founded in 1991 by a group of parents and professionals to promote better information, support and international co-operation to bring about improvements in the lives of people with a rare genetically determined disorder called Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS).

We are currently going through an exciting period in our development. We became registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales in 2019 and have recently appointed our first Chief Executive Officer. We are now prioritising the redevelopment of our website, have several new projects in the pipeline and are looking forward to our next international conference in 2022.

We are looking to expand our small team

We are looking to recruit a Website and Conference Manager, a new role within the organisation, to join our team. The position is home-based with occasional travel to Cambridge. The contract will be for 12 months.

This role has two key areas of responsibility:
1. To oversee the bedding in of our new website (currently in development), with particular emphasis on SEO, paid search and website optimisation, and the development of an overall digital strategy (main focus of first 6 months).

2. To establish the development of web pages for our 2022 conference, to market the conference and to work with the conference leads to build the programme and the conference booklet (main focus of the second 6 months).
