All life on Earth depends on our oceans. They regulate our climate, generate the oxygen we breathe and provide food and livelihoods for hundreds of millions of people. WWF are working to protect them and to build support among millions of people for ocean recovery. In partnership with Sky Ocean Rescue, we are launching an advocacy campaign calling on the UK government to act before it’s too late. We are now looking for a Political Lead to work with an amazing media partner and make this happen.

Responsible for leading the political campaign strategy you will be responsible for objective setting, with clear timeline and milestones and in-depth stake holder mapping and targeting. You will utilise your relationships within Westminster and lead the team’s engagement activities with political stakeholders. Working closely with the key partnership contacts at Sky, you will maximise the political impact of campaigns and advocacy work to deliver on the objectives of the partnership and other stakeholders.

A consummate networker and influencer, you will have a demonstrable track record of impacting political decisions in Westminster. You will have an in-depth understanding of Westminster and Whitehall, including understanding of Parliamentary processes which should be supported by a relevant degree level qualification (or equivalent experience). Most importantly, you will have a passion for environmental issues and an awareness of the current political challenges and opportunities to drive change and make our world a better place.
