Job Details

The Early Intervention Foundation (EIF) is a young, dynamic and ambitious charity established in 2013 to champion and support the use of effective early intervention to improve the lives of children and young people at risk of experiencing poor outcomes.

As a member of the government’s What Works Network, EIF has a pivotal role as the go-to source for evidence and advice on effective early intervention for children and young people at risk of experiencing poor outcomes. Our research officers play a key role in making this happen, by generating and reviewing evidence on what works, as well as developing resources to support the translation of this information for policymakers, commissioners and practitioners.

We are looking for an exceptional and committed researcher who is looking for an opportunity to support the improvement of outcomes for children and young people through the rigorous use of evidence.

The right candidate will have a passion for conducting high-quality research, using a variety of methods and a strong knowledge of impact evaluation methodologies (such as randomised control trials). They will also have a passion for producing work that changes policy and practice, by thinking through the implications of the evidence and helping to translate it for different audiences.

If you are looking to use and develop your research skills, work across a diverse portfolio of work and contribute to research that will have a real impact, we want to hear from you.

Our people are at the heart of everything we do at EIF. It’s vital that our workforce reflects the diversity of our stakeholders and the wider society in the UK, so we’re proud to be an equal opportunities employer and we actively seek candidates from diverse backgrounds and communities. We also recognise the importance of a good work life balance, so we do everything we can to accommodate flexible working, including part-time and job shares for our roles.
