Apolitical is looking for a smart, creative and detail-oriented assistant editor to help public servants share the ideas that matter to them.

The successful applicant will edit articles on a variety of topics written by Apolitical’s members — public servants and policymakers in more than 170+ countries around the world.

You would work closely with Apolitical’s Member Engagement Editor, and provide feedback on articles written by influential public servants, including mayors, ministers and department heads.

You will get an opportunity to learn about trends in global policy and be part of a fast-growing company that wants to change the way government works for the better.

We are looking for someone to start immediately or as soon as possible. This is a full-time 6-month fixed-term position with a possibility of extension.

Required skills and attributes:
-Good writing and editing skills and at least some experience writing for publication
-Some interest in and understanding of policy and government
-Comfortable and confident working with top policymakers and policy experts
-Desire to work flexibly in a fast-changing environment
-Proven aptitude and enthusiasm for learning new skills

The following skills and attributes are not required, but if you have any of them it may be an advantage:
-Coding skills
-Experience working in or with government
- Proficiency in spoken and written Spanish, French or Portugese
