Job Details

Standing Together Against Domestic Violence (STADV) are looking to appoint a Housing First and Homelessness coordinator to help grow our small but dynamic work around homelessness, violence against women and girls (VAWG) and multiple disadvantage.

STADV aims to eradicate domestic abuse by transforming the way organisations and individuals respond to it. Operating across a range of statutory and non-statutory settings, STADV works with partner agencies to ensure a Coordinated Community Response to domestic abuse by improving their understanding and response to survivors and perpetrators. The Housing First and Homelessness project became part of STADV in 2017, in response to the need to strengthen and build partnerships across the homelessness and VAWG sectors, with an aim to improve access to safe housing and support for homeless women experiencing VAWG and other forms of disadvantage. The project provides specialist training for homelessness providers, partnership coordination and evaluation, expertise on developing and delivering Housing First for women, and is able to be responsive to systems blockages and barriers as they arise.

This post will support the Housing First and Homelessness Manager at Standing Together with all aspects of the project but will have a particular focus on our Housing First work and the delivery of the Safety by Experience project (see attached one pager for further information).

You should be able to demonstrate the ability to think critically and analytically, be a confident writer and have some experience in delivering training or group facilitation. This should be underpinned by a working understanding of the links between homelessness, multiple disadvantage and VAWG, and the barriers to support that this group of women face.

The post holder will be have the option of office based work and/or home working during COVID-19. Otherwise, the post will be based at STADV offices in Hammersmith and will require travel to sites within London.

This is a full-time post at 35 hours a week.
