Job Details

The Early Intervention Foundation (EIF) is a dynamic and ambitious charity established in 2013 to champion and support the use of effective early intervention to improve the lives of children and young people at risk of experiencing poor outcomes. We are partners in the Youth Endowment Fund (YEF), a bold new attempt to put early intervention at the heart of efforts to tackle youth offending.

YEF supports programmes and community partnerships working with children at risk of being drawn into crime and violence. Our evaluation team supports the decisions made about which programmes to fund, by commissioning independent evaluation of all the projects funded by YEF.

We’re looking for an experienced senior evaluation officer to build the technical and quality assurance capacity of the evaluation team. The right person will have proven team management experience, as well as knowledge of a wide range of evaluation methodologies and how they are successfully applied. This is a new role within the fund, so the right candidate will need to be comfortable working in a rapidly evolving environment.
To be successful, you will be a strong communicator with excellent project management skills. You will also have a strong appreciation and understanding of the way evidence can support decision making. Above all, you will be passionate and committed to improving the lives of young people, flexible, and a strong team-player.

We are especially interested to hear from applicants who have lived experience of youth violence.

Our people are at the heart of everything we do at EIF. It’s vital that our workforce reflects the diversity of our stakeholders and the wider society in the UK, so we’re proud to be an equal opportunities employer and we actively seek candidates from diverse backgrounds and communities. We also recognise the importance of a good work life balance, so we do everything we can to accommodate flexible working, including part-time and job shares for our roles. We will consider applicants from any part of England who wish to be home based providing they are able to travel to the EIF office in London and areas across England as required.
