I have represented Islington South and Finsbury since May 2005. I am Labour’s Shadow Secretary of State for International Trade, and I have to balance my front bench role with serving my constituency. I have a well-established, successful and friendly team of staff supporting me in my work. One of my caseworkers has moved on to another job, so I am looking for a replacement to balance the team.

I’m looking for someone with a good understanding of the sort of problems facing my constituents, a friendly and helpful attitude, and impressive organisational skills. You would be based at my constituency office, working with my office manager and casework team, dealing with enquiries from constituents and providing me with the support I need to run surgeries and local events.

You would assist with the supervision of students and volunteers, and you would also work with my Westminster team on campaigns and local issues. This is an interesting and challenging job for someone who is prepared to work hard and learn fast.
