Job Details

We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to oversee the delivery of our flagship Digital Surgeries programme.

About The Politics Project

The Politics Project supports young people to use their voice by providing them with outstanding democratic education. We specialise in digital democracy, supporting young people, teachers and politicians to use digital tools to learn, teach and engage in politics.

Through our Digital Surgeries programme, we support politicians to engage with young people using digital platforms to build strong relationships and a shared understanding of issues. We have delivered over 160 Digital Surgeries, working with a network of over 150 politicians and 100 schools. We work with a wide range of politicians across parties, from local councillors to MPs and government ministers, including Sir Keir Starmer MP, Ben Bradley MP, Caroline Lucas MP and Mayor Andy Burnham.

Over the last 18 months, we have extended this work to support a range of partners, including the Parliamentary Education Service. We also work with parliamentary staff to develop a version of the  programme that allows young people to use digital platforms to provide evidence to parliamentary select committee inquiries, putting young people’s voices at the heart of national policy debates.

About the Role

In this role you will oversee the delivery of our flagship Digital Surgeries programme, managing it's expansion and delivery. Due to Covid-19 we have seen an increase in demand for our digital approach and anticipate significant growth in the upcoming year. In this role we are looking for someone to guide this growth, making the most of opportunities that arise and ensuring that progress is tracked and Digital Surgeries are delivered to a high quality.

You will engage regularly with politicians and teachers, strengthening relationships with our existing partners while also identifying opportunities and developing strategies to build new ones.

You will manage a team of one or two programme coordinators who will lead day-to-day delivery.

This will be a fast-paced role in a small but growing team. There will be opportunities to shape the growth of our flagship programme and the broader direction of the organisation.
