Refugee Trauma Initiative (RTI) was founded in 2016 to address the psychosocial needs of refugees affected by violence and forced displacement in Northern Greece. We are looking for a self-starter to provide effective support for RTI’s knowledge management, including monitoring, evaluation, research, communications and administrative tasks. This is a generalist position to support the functioning of RTI, a Greek-based NGO, with some flexibility required and scope to shape the role according to the post-holders' interests and experience. LOCATION: UK-based remote-working, until London office established (estimated January 2021).
CONTRACT: This is a consultancy role, up to 12 months
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Required
> Minimum 3-year experience in project management, support functions, research and/or monitoring and evaluation.
> Excellent attention to detail, organisational and project management skills
> Ability to self-motivate, effectively prioritise, and to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision (this role will be working remotely in the UK).
> Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
> Computer literate with a high degree of proficiency and productivity, especially in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
> Strong analytical and information-gathering skills.
> Enthusiastic and positive attitude, and a team player who enjoys working in culturally and linguistically-diverse teams.
> Discretion with confidential and sensitive information and data.
> Innovative, solution-orientated, and brings new ideas.
> Flexible and adaptable attitude
> Passionate about the mission of RTI and aligned with our values
> Able to travel to Greece periodically
Preferred
> Experience using Microsoft Sharepoint, working in the humanitarian sector, and/or for a start-up or grassroots organisation
> Demonstrated interest in RTI’s areas of programming,(mental health support and wellbeing, migration and displacement, and/or early childhood development and education).
> Additional languages, particularly those from the Middle East
