Job Details

Cathod Du is a dynamic communications, campaigns and social media consultancy.

We work with progressive politicians, organisations, businesses and charities to provide bespoke strategic support, targeted communications and social media content and management. Since launching in 2018, Cathod Du has grown at pace, working with clients and on campaigns across the UK and worldwide. We’ve put our clients on national television, secured consistently high-quality print and online coverage, while our social media content and campaigns have reached huge audiences. Our training sessions and workshops have engaged and empowered, and we have rebranded and relaunched a number of major UK organisations.

We have an opening for a Junior Associate to join our growing team. You will be working with our Associates and Director to support an expanding roster of clients. The role is varied and engaging, working across briefs and specialities.

There’s no long list of requirements for the post, though great written skills and an understanding of social media platforms are a must, as is an interest in politics, and a commitment to progressive causes and social justice.

You’ll be speaking to clients, drafting news stories and social media content, captioning clips and pitching ideas and stories to journalists. You don’t need to be an expert in all these areas - but you do need to be willing to get stuck in and learn!

Benefits include a contributory pension scheme, generous Annual Leave entitlement and additional leave over Christmas and New Year.

The role is initially a one year fixed term contract, with review and extension at the end of this period.

We are based in Cardiff, but working remotely at the moment in line with Welsh Government guidelines. Applications for remote / home working are welcome. Black, Asian and minority ethnic people are currently poorly represented in our staff and contractor teams. We are committed to changing this, and particularly welcome Black, Asian and minority ethnic applicants.

Closing Date: 1 September 2020
