An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Political Advisor for a number of Shadow Cabinet members, as part of the Leader’s Office for the Official Opposition.

The post holder will provide policy research, support and analysis in the given policy area to their Shadow Cabinet member and the frontbench team, as part of the Political Advisor directorate.

The roles available are:

1) Political Advisor to the Shadow Secretary of State for Transport, Jim McMahon
2) Political Advisor to the Shadow Secretary of State for Education, Kate Green

The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge of the Labour Party and its structures, knowledge of the parliamentary process, excellent organisational skills, experience of preparing written and verbal briefing materials and the ability to work proactively with a variety of stakeholders.

Please note these are fixed term contracts for the period only that the Shadow Minister is in the Shadow Cabinet position.
