Job Details

About the role
Digital is increasingly becoming the access point to information, products, services, entertainment, and employment. This has been accelerated by the pandemic. The Big Hack’s mission is to break down the inconsistencies for disabled people in accessing products and services online, and inspire a future that is designed inclusively.

The Policy Advisor will work to influence businesses and Government to improve digital accessibility for disabled people. This is an exciting time to be joining Scope as a Policy Advisor in the Consumer Affairs team. We have started an ambitious new strategy with a focus on social change – putting our policy and campaigns work as central to this ambition. As digital is a cross-cutting theme, the Policy Advisor will have the opportunity to work on other consumer affairs issues faced by disabled people as well.

Scope’s Policy Advisors are responsible for undertaking and delivering policy work around an area of Scope’s strategy, providing insight, evidence, and recommendations for key bodies to create change.

You will be working across the Consumer Affairs and Big Hack teams at Scope, acting as an internal and external ambassador for Scope’s policy and influencing work and you’ll contribute to the high performance and on-going development of the Influence and Social Change team.
