Shout Out UK is a multi-award winning independent youth news platform that provides young people with the tools necessary to engage in politics and a platform to shout out and be heard. We believe that everyone deserves to understand the world we live in and be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to incite positive change.

Shout Out UK are currently recruiting 3 x PRU facilitators to deliver a unique PREVENT curriculum to a Pupil Referral Unit based in Hammersmith and Fulham (London). You will be delivering a four-week curriculum, with each session lasting 2 hours. You will be delivering to multiple PRU schools with a fixed number of students.

Successful candidates will be working with children who have ever been permanently excluded from mainstream secondary schools or are on the brink of exclusion so someone thick-skinned and who is happy to work with children with behaviour issues is essential. There is a high percentage of students that suffer from Autism any candidates with Autism experienced within an SEN school setting would have a huge advantage upon applying.

In order to comply with SOUK safeguarding standards, a minimum training period is required prior to delivering SOUK enrichment programmes. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, much of this may be via video sessions whilst some may be group observation in person or via video link.

To be considered for the above roles you will need to have:

  • You must have experience of working within a PRU environment, SEN school or can prove that you have experience with working with young people in different settings.
  • You must have a DBS certificate.

Contract length: 6 months

Part-time hours: 2-6 hours per week

Salary: £15.00 per hour

We are going to be working with the government and school guidelines to make sure it is safe for in-house delivery.
