British Pugwash is looking to employ a part-time worker to support and grow SYP UK’s work on ‘ethical science’.
The role is paid and would be for 7 months, ideally starting in November.
Duties include:
Create a database of ethically-minded scientists and STEM students
Pilot a mentorship scheme
Develop multimedia content on Pugwash ideas and their relevance to the present
Coordinate a series of online webinars about the ethical responsibilities of scientists
Review UK-based peace campaigns to determine their needs in terms of inputs on technical issues
Develop a list of science communication resources

British Pugwash is affiliated to the Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs.

Interview/Start Dates
Interviews will take place in early October.
Start date: 1st November 2020.
