Do you have a passion for agriculture and a good knowledge of current farming issues? The NFU is looking for a talented individual to work on the ground, supporting NFU members and managing NFU activity within the South East area.
Regional Adviser Responsibilities:
Based in the South East region, as the Assistant County Adviser you will be working with County Advisers across the region, elected officeholders and the regional office team in Petersfield. You will be a key local source of knowledge and able to offer advice and guidance to NFU members. You will manage stakeholder networks effectively, and coordinate delivery of the NFU’s lobbying campaigns and member facing NFU policy output.
Reporting to the Regional Director you will support the regional team to deliver against all aspects of the South East Regional Plan.
Regional Adviser Requirements:
Most importantly, you will be able to establish a firm connection with the farming membership, and ensure their views are heard. To make that member connection, you will have a good knowledge of current farming issues and a real passion for agriculture, whether gained through your education, your background or your experience. In addition, knowledge of farming in the South East and the county’s agricultural/land-based industry landscape would be ideal.
