Lee is looking for a parliamentary assistant / researcher to work with him in his Westminster office. You will be a good fit with Lee and his wider North East Derbyshire-based team if you thrive in dynamic work environments, where independent problem solving and critical thinking are musts.

You will be self-motivated, with responsibilities including: coordinating strategic projects, press briefings, parliamentary business research and support, office administration, casework, and ad hoc research-based tasks. It is not necessary to have parliamentary experience, but a passion for politics and an interest in parliamentary process are important.

Applicants should be sympathetic to the aims and values of the Conservative Party.

Upon appointment you will be required to apply for security clearance, undertaken by the Security Vetting and Pass Office. See Members’ Staff Security Clearance page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
