BASC is looking for an individual to assist the Director Wales while working alongside other BASC teams, to educate and inform parliamentarians, including prospective candidates, about shooting sports in Wales and forge relationships between them and BASC clubs, syndicates and members.

Responsible for liaising with media, head office departments and Director Wales to ensure all key events receive maximum coverage in both press and social media.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills
• Experience of building effective partnerships with politicians
• Enthusiasm, self-motivation, and the ability to motivate others
• Good communication, diplomacy and negotiating skills.
• Experience of representing causes to politicians and government backed by
understanding of Welsh Government and parliamentary processes.

Working within a small team and reporting to the Director Wales the position will be based near Cardiff and will involve some travel throughout Wales and to our Head Office in Rossett.
