12 month fixed term contract.

The BCC is a lead commentator and influencer on numerous key business issues and we have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join us and develop their career in communications and advocacy.

They will be assisting the Press and Public Affairs team in their campaign work, ensuring that the views of the internal Chamber Network are reflected in our advocacy work, as well as handling journalists and other key individuals.

They will need strong written and verbal communication skills as they will be drafting messaging and press lines, internal briefings and website material, and they will also need an understanding of the national political and economic picture. Ability to build relationships both externally and internally is key, along with experience of using social media channels to enhance profile and engage with members/customers.

Head of Media and Communications

12 month fixed term contract. 

The BCC is one of the largest and most respected business organisations and we are looking for an experienced media and communications professional to join our busy Communications and Policy team.

They will have an extensive understanding of the news agenda and bring with them great relationship-building skills, including excellent relationships with journalists.

They will be developing and implementing integrated media and comms strategies to support he BCC’s campaigns, products and services, along with day-to-day management of the press function. They will also focus on developing great relationships both across the Chamber Network and also externally with national business, economics, broadcast and online outlets.
