Job Details

At MI5, MI6 and GCHQ, we work against serious threats like cyber-attacks, terrorism and espionage. But we can only achieve our mission with the support of our finance departments. When you join our Trainee Finance Officer Scheme, you’ll develop your skills while protecting the country.

Over three years, you’ll gain valuable knowledge while studying for an Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification. To make sure you get plenty of experience, you’ll also take on different roles and tasks at our agencies. It means you’ll gain some really unique insights. And with a network of other trainees, a dedicated buddy and a qualified mentor who’s been through the scheme, you’ll have great support from day one.

To join, you’ll need to be enthuasiastic, motivated and have a genuine passion for finance. You might be looking to change careers or keen to learn without studying at a university. Either way, you’ll need to have a head for figures. We’ll also expect you to have GCSE’s in English and Maths at A* - C/4 - 9 (or equivalent). Ideally, you’ll be studying, (or have already studied), A-Levels in Economics, Business Studies or Maths. And you’ll also need to be ready to start our scheme in January 2022.

It’s time to discover your value.
