Location: Home-based with regular travel to Greater Manchester, and less frequent travel to CRUK’s office in East London

The Westminster & Local Public Affairs team communicate Cancer Research UK’s policy messaging to parliamentarians in Westminster and local government across England to achieve policy change and help beat cancer sooner. Working with the Westminster & Local Public Affairs Manager and other Officers, this role is responsible for supporting Cancer Research UK’s award-winning public affairs programme. The role will support the team’s influencing work with Local Government, with a particular focus on:

• Local tobacco control and smoking cessation policy
• Influencing key opinion leaders in Greater Manchester and the North West of England
• Growing our engagement with Metro Mayors
• Helping to run our network of Councillor Cancer Champions.
