Prospectus is delighted to be partnering with the Fundraising Regulator for the recruitment of a Policy Manager on a full-time permanent basis. The Fundraising Regulator was launched in summer of 2016, to promote good fundraising by charities and to protect the public from unacceptable fundraising practices, by working with the charity sector to ensure it understands its responsibility to donors. The Fundraising Regulator is committed to being a diverse and inclusive place of work and welcomes applications from all backgrounds.

Reporting to the Head of Policy, the post holder will play a critical role in developing evidence-based policy that maintains trust and confidence in fundraising. The Policy Manager will lead and develop end-to-end policy across all areas of the regulator's business. Integral to success in this role, is the ability to bring together a variety of information streams into a cohesive and coherent source for identifying policy priorities alongside the monitoring of, civil society the charitable fundraising landscape and political and parliamentary developments.

By establishing relationships with staff in other regulators and stakeholders across the sector, you will contribute to developing the networks and partnerships that help to achieve the organisation's regulatory objectives and support the regulator's positive reputation with charities and central government. In addition to this, you will manage a small team ensuring their ongoing learning and development and play a role in offering creative ideas and solutions within the wider organisation.

To be considered for this role, you must have significant experience of working in a similar position within a charity, public body or a regulatory organisation. You will have a proven track record of building strong networks and fostering good working relationships with key decision makers and policy makers at all levels. In addition to this, you must have demonstrable experience of supporting and developing people in small teams and the capability to spearhead cross-cutting organisational projects. The right candidate will have excellent verbal and written skills and enjoy distilling and synthesising complex information and communicating the outcome for a range of audiences.
