As a Strategy and Communications Senior Consultant on their political team you will lead on client projects and oversee team delivery, establishing a trusted relationship with clients as their go-to advisor. You will be in tune with UK politics and policy and will feel comfortable advising on a wide range of sectors and issues ranging from tech to health, or from Brexit to international trade. As a Strategy and Communications Senior Consultant you play a crucial role in delivering the highest quality of service to their clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day to day client team direction and management and act as a mentor and coach across teams
• Build good client relationships and provide strong coordination for client work and teams
• Help clients navigate political uncertainty, engage constructively and productively with political stakeholders, and achieve business objectives by shaping a positive (or benign) political, policy and regulatory environment in the UK
• Advising senior clients on political developments; helping clients to shape and respond to government policy proposals
• Offer credible and relevant client counsel and advice, drawing from understanding of the client’s business model

Contribute to new business by developing own external network and seek opportunities for organic growth

Key Requirements:

• At least 6 years’ experience in a political or policy role, or a communications role with significant political or policy aspects to it
• Extensive experience of public policy and political campaigning, whether in-house, agency, for a political party or in government
• Experience generating high quality political or communications research and analysis – including recommendations for action - in a useable and engaging way
• Ability to build and sustain good client relationships
• Enthusiasm about creativity and campaigning, including working with and across different communications disciplines to deliver maximum impact
• Work well under pressure, problem solving independently of senior team when required
