This post is an exciting opportunity to join the small team at the Council of Deans of Health, the representative body for the UK’s university faculties engaged in education and research for nursing, midwifery and the allied health professions. The role is ideal for someone looking to develop a career in health or higher education policy as our policy officers will gain experience in writing and analysis, event and meeting support, communication and stakeholder relationships.

We are looking for someone with a broad skill set including strong interpersonal skills, good organisation and clear written communication. The successful candidate will be able to balance varied tasks across a broad range of policy areas with member meetings and teamwork. The post-holder will provide support to colleagues in the policy and wider Council of Deans of Health teams.

The Council has an office in Woburn House, Central London, though all staff are currently working from home in line with Covid-19 guidance. Staff are likely to adopt a mixed home/office working model when we return to our office. The post holder should therefore be able to attend the office as required. We are able to offer flexible working and can consider part-time requests.

The Council is currently an associated organisation of Universities UK. It will become fully independent in August 2021 at which point this role will be subject to TUPE arrangements.
