Arden Strategies, a London based consultancy specialising in strategic advisory, communications and overseas elections, is hiring for the role of Research Officer, This vacancy is ideal for a recent graduate or someone who hasn’t studied to degree level but has great judgement. Founded in 2017 by the Rt Hon. Jim Murphy, former cabinet minister; Arden is a progressive firm offering insight, advice, and support based on our shared values to corporates, candidates and governments from across the world.

The successful candidate will be a hard working, self-motivated individual with some understanding of politics and a passion for understanding how the world works.

The researcher will assist the polling and insight team and support Arden's leadership team in our international election outreach and anti-corruption initiatives.

Key Tasks:

• Supporting the polling and insights staff by conducting surveys and undertaking research as directed
• Contributing to written and verbal reports for clients as needed
• Providing briefings to senior management ahead of some external meetings
• Supporting outreach to overseas political parties and politicians
• Other ad hoc research as required

Essential:

• Self-motivated and willing to use initiative
• Excellent written communication skills
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Able to work with the utmost discretion
• Confident using microsoft office, g suite, and similar software

Desirable:

• Experience working in politics, communications or polling
• Foreign Language skills particularly French
