Job Details

FSB is seeking an experienced policy professional to assist in driving the FSB Wales policy operation and to ensure that the interests of FSB members are represented to the Senedd/Welsh Parliament committees.

In this role, you will support the Head of Policy identify, research, develop and promote policy positions on Welsh policy issues. You will be required to brief and act as an advisor on key policy issues for the Welsh Policy Chair and members.

This role will also support the wider Welsh team lobbying and advocate FSB policy to key stakeholders including politicians, Ministers and civil servants. We’re looking for someone with the ability to produce briefings and articles for both internal and external publication. This role may also require the postholder to provide interviews to broadcast media.

We’re looking for someone with proven experience in one of the following: Welsh Political party, Welsh Civil Service, Senedd/Welsh parliament, policy or public affairs research and monitoring post. You will have a thorough knowledge of the political processes and systems of the Welsh Government. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills and the ability to carry out survey work and statistical analyst. Strong presentation skills are also required.
