Senior Consultant, Situations and Political
A Senior Consultant (SC) at Teneo plays a pivotal role in providing the highest quality of service to our clients. They act as a day-to-day lead for all client projects and oversee team delivery.

SCs manage and coach our Consultants and Associate Consultants and work into and learn from our Associate Directors and Managing Directors, with the structure of each team varying based on our scope and clients’ needs.

They are in tune with UK politics and policy and are comfortable getting up to speed with and advising on a wide range of sectors and issues: from tech to heath, or Brexit to international trade. Senior Consultants create a positive working environment and help other colleagues to learn and develop, acting as a proactive coach and mentor across all teams.

We are looking for exceptional candidates with varied experience and wide-ranging perspectives. They’ll be able to cut across sectors and switch seamlessly between all disciplines.

Our work includes advising senior clients on political developments; helping clients to shape and respond to government policy proposals; developing communication strategies that showcase client best practice; supporting clients to communicate their positions to political stakeholders; identifying and tracking risks; commissioning original research on client areas of interest.

Skills and Experience
Extensive experience in a political, policy or communications role (min of 4 years)
Extensive experience of public policy and political campaigning, whether in-house, agency, for a political party or in government
Excellent oral and written communications skills, tailoring style of communication to the intended audience
