BASC is the largest shooting organisation in the UK, serving a wide variety of stakeholder and public interests. It acts as a representative body for sporting shooting - fostering opportunity, safety, high standards and wildlife conservation.
We are looking for an individual to work within our Science & Research team and across the organisation who is well-versed in environmental law and public sentiment.
In this exciting new role, you will need to be able to understand highly technical material and help identify the elements that will sway political and public opinion and show the value that shooting can deliver in terms of public benefits.
To join our team, you will need to have an Ecology or Environmental Degree or equivalent professional qualification and successfully demonstrate:
• Your inter-personal and networking skills, with the ability to influence differing audiences.
• Clear understanding of the potential future environment shifts in policy and political context.
• Experience of the UK’s regulatory framework and legislation.
• A high degree of proficiency in data analysis and report writing.
Working within our Conservation directorate and reporting to the Head of Science & Research we are flexible about where this role is based. There will be some travel and you will be expected to work from our Head Office in Rossett on occasions.
