This includes supporting the financial and professional services sector across the country, as well as addressing issues that may affect its future competitiveness. The Media Team is responsible for proactively promoting this work and managing reputational risks.

The role

As an ambitious and experienced Media Officer, you will lead on high-profile international issues relating to financial and professional in the Square Mile. This will involve occasional travel and working closely with senior figures across the sector, including the Lord Mayor and Policy Chair. As a key member of the team, you’ll regularly interact with a wide range of national and international media outlets to tell a positive story about our work.

About you

As an exceptional communicator, you will be a team player with experience in a story-selling media environment and be comfortable working across a wide variety of issues. Experience in dealing with media enquiries regarding financial and professional services will be an advantage. An understanding of key issues affecting the City of London is important – and a commitment to excellence and results is essential.
