What you’ll do

There are two major priorities for this role:
1) To lead the programme of work that is the Frontline Leadership Programme, which is the first major promotion/progression programme of work we’ve ever done.
2) To lead the long-term progression and promotion pathway for Police Now, of which the FLP is one major component of in the next 2 years.

You will lead on the planning, design and delivery of the promotion pathway for our ambassadors (ambassadors are all programme alumni and previous training sergeants). The promotion pathway exists to support our growing pool of ambassadors through the Sergeant’s promotion process, both nationally and in their forces, as well as supporting ambassadors to gain a place on the College of Policing’s Fast Track to Inspector Programme.

What you'll need

  • Experience developing and delivering programmes.
  • To be an experienced people manager with a track record of managing individuals and sub-teams with contrasting portfolios of work.
  • Demonstrable experience of planning and delivering projects and events to budget, time, and to quality.
  • Strong project management skills and demonstrable experience of working on a number of projects.
  • Direct UK policing experience and sound knowledge of promotion within the sector.
  • An excellent understanding and passion for Police Now’s mission and values.
  • Willingness to travel within England and Wales and to work occasional evenings, as required (for example, for events).
