Join us as Advocacy and Youth Adviser and engage with young people and civil society actors around the world to encourage their participation in a global advocacy movement for nutrition.

The Scaling Up Nutrition Civil Society Network (SUN CSN) is part of the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Movement, which unites governments, UN bodies, businesses, donors and civil society in a collective effort to end malnutrition. The SUN CSN Secretariat team (of which this role is part) is hosted by Save the Children UK, and the two organisations share a passion for ending malnutrition wherever it is found.

As Advocacy and Youth Adviser you will be responsible for leading and managing the SUN Youth Leaders for Nutrition (YL4N) programme to empower and enable young people to advocate for change. Your initial focus will be to work with the Youth Leaders and partners of the programme to co-create a new YL4N strategy for the SUN Movement’s 3.0 phase, with an aligned workplan and budget. You will manage communications for the YL4N programme and provide ongoing support to the Youth Leaders.

You will also work collaboratively with others in the team to lead the Secretariat’s work in amplifying the voices of SUN CSN’s Civil Society Alliances (CSAs) through facilitating their participation in global campaign and advocacy opportunities, and assisting their development of new case studies, research and policy briefs.

To be successful you will be experienced in and passionate about working with young people and civil society actors to achieve change. You will have a strong knowledge and awareness of the global debates in policy, advocacy and research, particularly surrounding nutrition. A strong team player and collaborator, you will need to be an excellent communicator, with a proven track record in policy and advocacy.
