We have an exciting opportunity for a Public Affairs Manager to join our Policy and Public Affairs team on a permanent basis working at our Central London office. The role will start working remotely with the opportunity to continue with some remote-working once we return to the office. 

As Public Affairs Manager, your role will focus on developing and delivering the PRS for Music public affairs programme, in support of the business priorities and policy agenda. This role will work alongside the Head of Policy and Public Affairs to develop and maintain key relationships within the industry and government to ensure the team continues to affect and influence change on the behalf of our members.

Our ideal candidate is a driven, confident self-starter who will proactively bring new ideas and solutions to this interesting and dynamic role. You will be curious, keen to learn, seek out new ideas and information, and share insights.

You will have great interpersonal skills, enjoy networking and building key contacts. You will be capable of communicating complex ideas to different audiences in creative ways. As part of this externally facing team, your role will include representing PRS for Music at governmental and other industry events; you will be confident in building relationships with key stakeholders focusing on ensuring your influence drives PRS for Music’s agenda on the behalf of our members. It isn’t imperative to love music, but a keen interest certainly does help. 

Direct experience of working in policy or parliamentary affairs in Westminster. Similar experience in Brussels is also valuable. Experience drafting and delivering strategic political analysis and insight to businesses. Knowledge in IP/copyright/creative industries is highly desirable. Experience and confident in building and maintaining lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders across all levels. Pre-existing relationships in government and/or parliamentary affairs environment are an asset, with a drive to developing these contacts further.
