- Do you have a keen interest in politics and experience in national stakeholder relations and public affairs?
- Do you have experience in supporting campaigns that can deliver impact?
- If so, this could be the role for you…
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- At least three years’ experience of having worked in a public affairs role and/or a parliamentary environment, with an understanding of the health and care sector in England
- Contributed to parliamentary and stakeholder engagement plans and campaigns that meet set objectives.
- Supported positive relationships with MPs, government officials and other key decision makers and influencers.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills, political awareness, and can interpret policy at pace.
About the role
You will support our public affairs work, ensuring we are on top of key political and stakeholder developments and that we maintain strong relationships with a broad range of bodies and individuals at the highest levels. This includes those across Government and Parliament, the Arm’s Length Bodies, professional representative organisations, patient groups, and think tanks.
You will be joining the NHS’s membership body at a time that legislation on the future of the NHS in England is about to enter Parliament, following the last set of legislative reforms a decade ago. Therefore, this is a rare and exciting opportunity to influence changes that could be in place for a generation, which has arisen following a member of the team securing a promotion.
We are looking for someone with a keen interest in politics and a good understanding of the inner workings of Government who can use that to develop high-quality communications and support influencing plans that can deliver real impact.
You will play a key role in supporting our monitoring, correspondence and briefing activities, including for important stakeholder meetings, appearances before parliamentary committees, as well as supporting our involvement in the annual political party conferences and other national engagement opportunities.
