The Role

As the Head of Programmes, you will be responsible for delivering an ambitious portfolio of research that will create innovative, practical, and inclusive solutions for a fairer future through better work.

Overseeing the overall successful delivery of IFOW’s portfolio of work, you will ensure they align to our strategy and help drive the change we want to see. You will seek to create innovative, practical and inclusive solutions and build approaches that put people first.

Reporting to the Director of IFOW, you will work collaboratively with the team, trustees and external partners, providing expert co-ordination and day-to management of our programmes. You will support project design, development and oversee project initiation and implementation.

About You

To be considered as the Head of Programmes, you will need:

- Extensive experience in project management in a policy and research context
- A proven track record in managing multiple concurrent projects and programmes with substantial budgets
- Experience of working in partnership on projects, including academic partners and funders
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Good organisation skills, with a practical and positive approach to problem solving
