Job Title: Business Administration Apprentice

Job Details

The successful candidate will carry out the day to day administrative duties for Chris Clarkson, the conservative MP for Heywood and Middleton, based in the constituency office in Heywood. You will work towards a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship standard.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting/learning how to manage casework
  • Assisting/learning how to monitor media coverage and brief MP
  • Attending surgeries and other meetings as part of training
  • Basic administrative support
  • Learning how to analyse, evaluate and interpret data
  • Learning/assisting in drafting responses to constituents
  • Open, handle and action email, post, and social media enquiries
  • Monitoring and creating content for the MP’s various social media platforms and website

  • Good communication skills
  • Good timekeeping skills
  • Good IT skills, with a good awareness and experience of working with Microsoft Office packages e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher
  • Knowledge of social media platforms
