The Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) is the trade association that represents the interests and activities of independent and national UK Builders merchants and of leading building material manufacturers. Total membership at 1 July 2021 stands at 760 member companies who together have combined sales of £39bn and employ over 207,000 people in the building materials industry. BMF’s 393 merchant members operate from over 5,900 branches across the UK and Ireland.

We are looking for a person of a graduate calibre with experience of working in a policy related role or similar knowledge to take on the role of Policy and Public Affairs Advisor. The aim is to promote and deliver the BMF’s policy, public affairs and research objectives.

This is a full-time role reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. The position is based at our London Office. You may also be required to attend meetings at Coventry Head Office and other locations.
