We are looking for an experienced Senior Policy and Public Affairs Officer to join our Policy and Public Affairs Team.
Anthony Nolan is ambitious about our influencing work and what we can achieve for patients. As Senior Policy and Public Affairs (PPA) Officer, you will promote understanding of Anthony Nolan’s lifesaving work among a wide range of influencing audiences. You will take a leading role in monitoring the health and research policy environments and ensuring colleagues are fully up to speed about the changing political and policy landscape and how it affects our work. You will also play a key role in the delivery of Anthony Nolan’s influencing strategy.
The role involves contributing to the development and implementation of influencing campaigns and policy research as well as supporting our engagement with decision-makers, stakeholders and supporters to promote the case for positive policy change. As well as excellent interpersonal skills with good written and verbal communication skills, you will have previous experience within a policy, public affairs and/or campaigning role.
Additionally, you will be able to provide written and verbal briefings to senior level stakeholders and draft high-quality responses to consultations relating to health policy. An understanding of the workings of government and Parliament is essential, along with strong research and communications skills and a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
Experience of the health and/or charity sectors is preferred.
