Job Title: Internship (Health)
Working For: Lexington
Salary: London Living Wage
Length of Contract: 3 months
Lexington is a leading independent strategic consultancy. We deliver positive change to shape the future for global businesses, organisations and society.
We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic intern to join our healthcare team in our London office for three months.
With a thirst to transform healthcare, you will join our welcoming and inclusive team – shortlisted as Policy and Public Affairs Agency of the Year at Communique 2020 – which includes former special advisors, politicians, journalists, agency and charity experts at an exciting period of significant growth. In 2020 we achieved significant double-digit growth, as our most transformative year yet.
We are looking for individuals with excellent written and verbal communications skills, and a genuine passion and interest in the UK political and health systems, business issues and the media landscape. You will form an integral part of our team, delivering campaigns to help solve some of the UK’s biggest healthcare challenges – from cancer and hepatitis C, to heart failure and dementia.
Previous experience is not a requirement, and the role would suit a recent graduate looking to start a career in health public affairs and communications.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking political, media and policy monitoring for healthcare clients
- Providing research support for client accounts and new business leads
- Supporting with event planning and execution
- Providing general assistance to the company and to the Lexington Health team

Closing Date: 1 October 2021
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an initial, informal interview via video conference and, if successful, will be invited for a second interview. Successful candidates may be appointed prior to the closing date.
Please note the role is for an immediate start.
At Lexington, we believe in creating an inclusive work environment with a diverse workforce. We will give proper consideration to all qualified applicants without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability.
