Urban planning is a highly topical question these days with media discussion of housing, high speed rail and a focus on the critical role of planning in designing post-pandemic cities and addressing Climate Change.
We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a wide ranging interest in urban planning and related fields. You will commission and manage research projects on planning and public policy. You will also act as a ‘knowledge broker’ between academic researchers and planning practitioners.
You will have a postgraduate degree in planning or a related subject and experience in disseminating research to a wide range of audiences.
The RTPI is the largest professional institute for planners in Europe, with over 25,000 members. As well as promoting spatial planning, the RTPI develops and shapes policy affecting the built and natural environment, works to raise professional standards and supports members through continuous education, training and development.
