Hours: Between 8 and 16 hours p/w – to be discussed at interview
Rt Hon Christopher Pincher MP is seeking a Paid Intern, for 1 or 2 days a week, to support himself and his Senior Parliamentary Researcher with the day to day running of his Westminster Office.
The right candidate will have excellent attention to detail, good communication skills, both written and verbal, and the confidence to work alone. Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite is essential.
The role includes, but is not limited to:
- Undertaking research, usually from readily available sources, on local and national issues.
- Assisting the Senior Parliamentary Researcher in compiling briefings for the MP
- Assisting with mass mail outs both by email and by letter
- Project work
- Ad-hoc constituency casework
- Providing general office admin and support
Candidates should be sympathetic to the aims and values of the Conservative Party.
Upon appointment you will be required to apply for security clearance, undertaken by the Security Vetting and Pass Office. See Members’ Staff Security Clearance page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.

Interview/Start Dates
Applicants will be contacted to arrange an interview as appropriate. A practical test will be set as part of the process, in line with the duties you would be expected to undertake. An appointment may be made prior to the closing date if a suitable candidate is found for a mid-Nov start.
