Do you want to change the world for children?

Join our small, dynamic team providing support to not-for-profit adoption agencies across the UK.
CVAA is a membership organisation made up of 26 voluntary adoption agencies (VAAs). VAAs work hard to improve the lives of adopted children and their families across the UK. We provide our members with policy, data, and practice support, represent and advocate for them in national forums, and bring them together to collaborate, network, and learn from one another.

This is a vital post at the heart of the adoption system. Our vision is for adopted children, young people, and adults to lead happy fulfilling lives in loving families supported by a strong voluntary adoption sector, and as Data Analyst your expertise will enable our members to improve the use of data in their service and business planning, thus strengthening the sustainability of the voluntary sector.

You will lead on quarterly analysis of existing data sets alongside managing our annual VAA data collection. You will support the Policy Manager to interpret the data and understand trends and predictions for the voluntary sector. You will provide critical analysis and horizon-scanning intelligence to drive the use of data across our sector.

About you:

You will have at least 5 years' experience in collecting, cleaning, analysing and interpreting data. You will be practical, proactive, and well organised, with the confidence to work on your own initiative and deal with people at all levels of seniority. You will be friendly, with a ‘can-do’ attitude, and motivated by achieving the best possible outcomes for children and families.
You might have experience in data analysis in local government, charities, or the private sector. You might be a consultant or a freelancer. You might have a portfolio of data-driven management support work. If any or all of the above sound like you, we’d like to hear from you.

CVAA works to challenge discrimination and disadvantage and welcomes applications from all communities.
