Job Title: Head of Engagement for the Scottish Labour Parliamentary Group

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an outgoing, innovative, and highly motivated individual to join the team supporting the parliamentary work of the Scottish Labour Parliamentary Group in the position of Head of Engagement.
The successful applicant will thrive on building and managing relationships and will work as part of an effective and inclusive team focused on delivering a clear engagement strategy on behalf of the Scottish Labour Parliamentary Group. Working with MSPs offices, the policy team, and the Visits and Engagement officer, the Head of Engagement will be expected to lead the Scottish Labour Parliamentary Group’s engagement strategy: Managing and coordinating outreach to the business community, trade unions, third sector and voluntary organisations, community groups, non-governmental organisations, and those with an interest in policy and Scottish Parliamentary business. The Head of Engagement will develop and oversee a programme of engagement meetings and communications between portfolio leads and relevant interested organisations and will assist individual MSPs in their relationship building and communications with external stakeholders regarding policy discussions and parliamentary business.
The role will be demanding but also gratifying, working in a fast paced and constantly evolving political environment, as part of a supportive and highly motivated team to ensure collaborative relationships are maintained and clear lines of communications are established between the Scottish Labour Parliamentary Group and organisations across Scotland.
