WPI Economics is an economics, data insight and public policy consultancy that specialises in conducting research, analysis and modelling that makes an impact on important social and economic policy debates.  We work across a wide array of fascinating topics – see our publications page for recent examples. 

We are looking for a new Data Insights Analyst to join the team and work on a number of our high-profile data-led projects. This is a unique opportunity to use data, social science and analysis skills to make an impact on public debate and social policy. Central aspects of this role will include working on London’s Poverty Profile, our work for the Social Metrics Commission and work exploring the wider determinants of health in the UK. 

For this role, you will be based in our friendly office in the heart of Westminster (or working remotely due to either Covid-19 conditions and/or your own circumstances). Day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Researching and building expertise across a number of relevant data sources.
  • Conducting a range of quantitative analyses, to provide insights into important social policy issues in the UK.
  • Processing a wide variety of data types in a codified environment (mostly R).
  • Producing high quality visuals 
  • Working collaboratively with the team and clients to produce impactful analysis.
  • Writing up clear and engaging findings for different audiences.
