To achieve this we provide information, advice and connection services for older people; campaign on the issues that matter most to them around health and care, poverty and loneliness and provide capacity building support to others working in the sector.

We are looking for a dynamic Public Affairs Officer to join our motivated team. The successful candidate will ensure that Independent Age’s policy positions and campaigns are effectively communicated to government and parliamentarians. They will create opportunities to amplify the voices of older people in Parliament through a range of mechanism, and secure support for our policy calls across a wide group of stakeholders.

You should have a strong working knowledge of the current political landscape and experience of engaging with different levels of government and Parliament. The ability to communicate (written and verbal) in a clear, accurate and convincing way for a range of audiences is essential for this role.
