HOURS: 37.5 hours per week, part-time considered minimum 22.5 hours per week

As the Director of Communications & Advocacy you will drive all aspects of the Medaille Trust’s communications, including updating the website, control of social media, production of our magazine and links with print and broadcast media. In addition, the role will oversee GDPR on behalf of the organisation and pioneer our advocacy work to ensure our key messages are heard with policy makers and opinion formers.

The post holder will be part of the Senior Leadership Team of the organisation and therefore will have a voice in helping to shape our ongoing strategy, although this is very much a hands-on role. The job is home-based, but the post holder will be expected to travel regularly (in line with any Government COVID restrictions and advice) to all our safe houses and Moving On Project hubs to maintain direct links to our frontline staff and those they support. They will also be expected to maintain regular contact with media and parliamentary contacts

Experience of working in a relevant public affairs or communications role is essential, as well as a passion for communicating effectively in the 21st century.
