We're the UK's leading charity for Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.

Right now, an estimated 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of and for which there is no known cure. Because of the stigma and misunderstanding surrounding these diseases, thousands of people are suffering in silence. But they're not alone. We're here for them.

We’re now looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to become our next Head of Policy & Campaigns.

This is an exciting new role at the charity to lead our advocacy work, challenging decision makers, policymakers and society as a whole, to recognise and accommodate the needs of all those affected by Crohn’s and Colitis, including those from seldom heard groups.

As the Head of Policy & Campaigns, you will be responsible for our policy and campaigns teams, driving an integrated programme of advocacy with a growing budget.

You will be supported by the new role of Head of Research and Evidence who forms part of our new strategic focus to build an evidence base to underpin our programme for change.

About you

To be considered as the Head of Policy & Campaigns, you will need:

- To be a seasoned campaigner who has delivered effective public facing campaigns
- A thorough understanding of how campaigns and policy work together to deliver demonstrable impact, ideally in healthcare
- The ability to interact with leaders in the NHS and elsewhere at the highest level

Our charity is at a really exciting point. We are in excellent financial health and moving to a new strategy which will give you the chance to put a personal stamp on the actions we are taking to improve the quality of life for people with Crohn’s and Colitis.

Our location

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire (45 minutes from Kings Cross station), so we are easily accessible by road and rail.
